School bus carrying special-needs children struck by gunfire in crime-ridden city
A school bus transporting students with special needs was caught in the crossfire of a shooting in the Bronx, New York, on Friday just before 2:20 p.m. The mini school bus was struck by at least three bullets — with one hitting the rear window and two piercing the side. The driver, prioritizing the students' safety, continued driving for about half a mile before stopping. According to an eyewitness, the bus matron described two groups exchanging gunfire, prompting her to shield two students on the floor.
