Bayer Leverkusen are preparing for Xabi Alonso's exit in the summer, according to reports. Alonso is one of world football's most in-demand coach after a hugely successful season with Bayer Leverkusen that saw them win the Bundesliga title unbeaten. The German side also won the DFB-Pokal and reached the final of the Europa League where they were defeated by Atalanta. Alonso turned down the chance to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool in favour of staying with Leverkusen - although reports in Spain now say a move to Anfield is 'ruled out' after Arne Slot's excellent start.
