Matt Beard praised his side's 'immense character' as a stoppage-time penalty and two wonder goals earned Liverpool their first win of the season in a thrilling clash at Brisbane Road. The Reds had gone in front in the 10th minute when Cornelia Kapocs capitalised on a poor clearance by Tottenham goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer, firing into the top right-hand corner from 25 yards out. Spurs drew level after the break when Taylor Hinds bundled Jess Naz's cross into her own goal.
