Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has spoken out about a lawsuit his ex-girlfriend filed against him in the wake of their split just days after he won the World Cup in 2022. The Argentinian swapped Brighton for Liverpool in a transfer worth £35million in June 2023 after scoring 20 goals in 112 games for a flourishing Seagulls squad. Since his switch, he has been a Reds mainstay, lifting the League Cup in March and helping the club to an electric start in the Premier League this season that has seen them move five points clear of rivals Manchester City at the top.
