Manchester City are reportedly set to step up their efforts to convince Erling Haaland to sign a new contract after persuading Pep Guardiola to stay at the club. News broke on Tuesday that Guardiola has agreed to sign a one-year contract extension at City with the option of a further 12 months, meaning he could remain at the Etihad until 2027. Attention has now turned to keeping hold of Haaland, who currently earns £20m a season and still has two-and-half-years left on his current deal.
