Homegrown players reacted furiously to the announcement of a new Hundred pay hike on Thursday, claiming they have been treated with a lack of respect. While the ECB presented the change in renumeration as a 25% rise across the board, the surge in wages was top-ended, in a blatant attempt to attract higher profile overseas stars in the light of competition from rival franchise tournaments.
