The Fatal Attraction star, 77, rose to fame in the 1970s, appearing on stage and in a series of television and Broadway productions through to her breakthrough in the 1980s. Receiving Emmy, Oscar and Tony nominations following her appearance in the comedy-drama film The Big Chill, she next went on to appear in the 1984 sports drama The Natural, starring Robert Redford.
