Michael O'Sullivan's funeral celebrated everything he achieved - at just 24 the Cheltenham-winning jockey was destined for greatness as mourners pay tribute to his ambition and zest, writes DOMINIC KING
Michael O'Sullivan was described as having made an impression on the hearts of a nation, as a family – and a sport – came together to honour his life. The 24-year-old, who was a dual Cheltenham Festival winning jockey, died in the early hours of Sunday morning. He had been in intensive care at Cork University Hospital, where was taken by air ambulance after a catastrophic fall from Wee Charlie, the horse he'd been riding at Thurles on February 6.
