A prestigious doctor who is accused of trying to murder his nuclear scientist wife by pushing her off a scenic Hawaii lookout appeared disheveled days after his arrest. Gerhardt Konig, 46, a renowned anesthesiologist, was pictured in a mugshot with messy hair and visible lines on his face as he was officially charged with second-degree attempted murder on Wednesday, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports. He was arrested on Monday following a six-hour manhunt, after he allegedly tried to push his wife Arielle Konig, 36, off a hiking trail at the Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout in Oahu and beat her with a rock after she refused to take a picture with him.
