The real meaning behind Green Day's iconic band name revealed
Green Day are one of the most famous American rock bands of the nineties, who have won various Grammy awards over the years - but they haven't always gone by that name. The famous group, which consists of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, actually started out with the name Blood Rage when Armstrong and Dirnt were just 15 years old and had formed the band with bassist Sean Hughes and drummer Raj Punjabi.
