Gary Lineker has offered his theory on Lee Carsley's bizarre comments surrounding whether he wants the England job full-time or not. The Three Lions interim boss raised eyebrows when he mentioned that he would 'hopefully' return to his role as Under-21s boss on the back of his side's shock defeat by Greece last week. Following the win over Finland on Sunday, he said it would be the 'wrong assessment' to suggest he had ruled himself out of the running but urged the FA to appoint a 'world-class' manager to replace Gareth Southgate.
