Moment octopus strangles panic-stricken diver who races to the surface with creature's tentacles around his neck after disturbing the animal's home
A snorkeler was nearly strangled by an octopus after he disturbed the creature's home while on a dive off the coast of far-eastern Russia. Now-viral video of the encounter shows the moment the diver provoked the octopus while exploring the seabed near Primorsky Krai earlier this month. The diver used a pole to poke at the marine mollusc's burrow, before he grabbed the octopus, removing it from its home.
